Not everyone liked silence, and Ethan pitied those who didn't. Ethan actually preferred as little sound as possible to the huge crowds in Hogwarts. All those gossiping girls gave Ethan hives, and a bad twitch. He couldn't stand to be around a bunch of giggling fourth year girls - they were just plain annoying. And what made it worse was that they would gossip about him whenever he'd pass by a group of them. He tried to shrug it off most of the time, but he could never completely recover from those types of moments.
He found it rather creepy how girls traveled in packs as well. What were they- a flock of geese? Did they know how weird they looked being together all the time? It made Ethan happy that he wasn't a girl. He would probably creep his self out.
But, he found peace at the lake. The only sounds around were a gentle breeze blowing against the grass and trees, and the shifting waters of the lake. He sat a few feet from the shore, his blond hair in his face as usual, hiding his bright green eyes. He let out a soft sigh as he continued to enjoy his solitude, or what was left of it. He heard footsteps approaching from behind him. Great. It seemed like everytime he tried to be alone, there was always someone there.

"Mr. Harper out here alone as ususal?" Rowena was on her daily rounds as ususal although just a tiny bit slower than ususal but for obvious. At lest it wasn't Salazar she'd run into this time. She had a feeling he still 'liked' her. He had when they'd met the first time but until now Rowena hadn't thought he still did. Normally she didn't run into many students on her rounds unless they were doing something they shouldn't except for first years during the first few weeks by then they'd memorized her rout and learned how to avoid her.

He sighed again as he heard the woman's voice. Rowena Ravenclaw certainly wasn't his favorite professor. Actually, he couldn't say that he liked her at all. She didn't make Transfiguration the least bit interesting, especially for him. It was the same routine all the time. He'd make some wise a** comment, Professor Ravenclaw would give him a detention, he'd throw a hissy fit and get in even more trouble. Ethan was easily annoyed by the woman and her presence. He wasn't sure if Rowena disliked him as much as he did her, but he had a feeling that the dislike was mutual. He couldn't blame the woman, though. He wasn't exactly the ideal student, and he did give her a hard time often. He never felt guilt for it though. Guilt was something that he lost during childhood.
He blinked before answering the professor's question. "It would appear so." His voice implied a bit of annoyance and anger. He was a bit of both but tried his hardest to suppress the feelings. He let his fingers run through his hair, slicking it back. Some of it fell back in his face, as it usually did. The signature Harper hair wasn't very cooperative and Ethan got frustrated with it easily. Sometimes he felt like chopping it all off, but he was a bit afraid to see what he'd look like without his hair. Even though it didn't like to cooperate, Ethan loved his hair.
"I see you're alone as well." Ethan hadn't actually looked at his professor since she had arrived, but he could sense these sort of things. He was half surprised that her husband wasn't with her and half relieved. He never liked Godric Gryffindor much either. There was just something about him that pissed Ethan off. Maybe it was him being with Rowena, but Ethan couldn't be one-hundred percent sure. He tried to keep his distance from both Ravenclaw and Gryffindor though.

"Yes the other professors are out of their rounds as well." Slytherins why did Godric have to let Salazar stay. He was a royal pain. As were most of his studnts. No matter how much she hated to say it one of her daughter's were one of those students.

"Am I interrupting anything?" I asked. I was, as usual, avoiding my dorm mates, when I came upon our wiser founder and a fellow slytherin I had met once or twice. The air around was tense, and I raised my hand and glossed over the scar on my neck, my nervous habit.

Her rounds. That explained why she was there, but not why she was still there. Didn't she have some other areas to... do professor-like things at? He twitched slightly, but it was barely noticeable. Being around Professor Ravenclaw was already starting to bug him. It usually took a good five minutes, but today was an exception.
Ethan heard another voice. He grew a bit more annoyed. He just came out to the lake to get some peace and quiet, and so far it wasn't going very well. He wondered why people couldn't automatically tell when their presence was unwanted. Ethan could take a hint, but these people obviously needed at least three.
"No, not at all." Ethan looked at the girl for a brief moment before looking back at the lake. He was pretty sure that he had seen the girl at least once before, but he wasn't exactly sure. He sighed. He hated when he couldn't remember people. The only thing that he remembered about the girl was that she was a Slytherin, and if that was even correct then the girl couldn't be all that bad.
"Please, join in our big love fest," he said sarcastically.

"No need to be so sarcastic Mr. Harper." Roweana smirked. "I'll only stay a bit longer." Godric had made her promise to rest a bit a lest. He didn't want her or the baby getting hurt. Thank Merlin none of the students could tell yet only Helga, Godric, Salazar and the girls knew.

"I am inclined to aquiesct such a well put request." I said sweetly. I sat down with a "Merci" And looked at the two before me. I looked at Professor Ravenclaw, and something was different. I noted to keep an eye out for anything odd but quickly turned my thoughts back to the verbal match I have gotten into. I looked up at the sky, "Harper, since you are so talented in Divination, why is Mars so bright?" I knew the answer, having heard more than a dozen cantures yell it in my ear, but I couldn't help it. Divination was not my forte.
